It was the other way around for me. I had a crush on a quiet guy in high school for like a year and we would just make eye contact in the hallways. My whole stomach would flip when that happened. And then one day, at parent teacher interviews, I was at the cookie table and he walked over the me and asked “Do you like to bake?” and I said “no”. And I never saw him again. I actually like to bake.. I was just so scared that the word no came out!
